Abdominal pain developed 9 d ays later, and his condition progressed to peritonitis. Colon perforat ion, 10 cm distal to the ileocecal valve, was found. Double-barrel ile ostomy was performed, and reanastomosis was done 11/2 months later. Af terward, he was fine, and he had no significant gastrointestinal probl ems after being discharged.
