Abstract
Reaction of 2-diaminoethane-N,N,N',N'-tetra(N-methylacetamide) L with K-2[PtCl4] in aqueous solution gave H(2)L[PtCl4] acid the unexpected p roduct cis-Pt(LH(-2))Cl-2 which is the first reported structure of a p latinum (IV) complex containing deprotonated amide ligands and a model for platinum (IV)-peptide/protein interactions.
