Abstract
The reaction between 2-aminobuta-1,3-dienes and Fischer-type phenylace tylenic carbene complexes leads under very mild conditions to highly f unctionalized dihydrofluorene derivatives in almost quantitative yield s via annulation of a phenylethenyl carbene intermediate.
