Abstract
The effect of pellet injection on plasma MHD stability was studied for the case of pellet ablation at the plasma column periphery. Both the large-scale MHD perturbations and the high-frequency noise were found to be stabilized when the appropriately sized pellet was chosen. Appar ently the observed stabilization has improved to some extent the plasm a thermal insulation.
