Abstract
The second order Jacobian J has been calculated and the delay time tau for the two-dimensional reconstruction of ordinary differential equat ions has been determined according to the first maximum of the absolut e value of J. This method reveals more features about reconstruction t han others, and is used in the Rossler and the forced Brusselator equa tion.
