The so-tetrakis(2,6-difluorophenyl)porphinatoiron(III) chloride-mCPBA
system, a chemical model of cytochrome P450, catalyzed substituent eli
mination from various para-substituted phenols. An experiment using [O
-18]mCPBA proved that these reactions are accompanied with ipso-substi
tution by the oxygen atom of the active species of the P450 model.
