We compute mesonic correlation functions in Euclidean coordinate space
within the Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model with explicit scalar, pseudos
calar, vector and axial-vector couplings. After bosonization and appli
cation of the Pauli-Villars regularization method, we verify that the
relevant dispersion relations are satisfied in the model, and use them
to evaluate the point to point correlators in several channels, namel
y sigma, pi, p and A. The results are not very sensitive to the partic
ular value of the vector coupling constant, G(v). We also discuss and
compare with the corresponding calculations in lattice QCD in the quen
ched approximation and the random instanton liquid model.
