Abstract
An electrospray mass spectrometer was coupled to an capillary electroc hromatographic system. Peptides were analyzed in a capillary column pa cked with 1.5-mu m reversed phase stationary phase at now rates of 1-2 mu L/min. Supplementary pressure was applied to stabilize the electro chromatographic performance. The interface employed allowed fast and s imple installation of the electrochromatographic system to the mass sp ectrometer, requiring neither sheath now nor long transfer capillaries . This CEC-MS coupling allows the routine detection of picomole quanti ties.
