Abstract
A crossed beam method has been used to obtain cross sections for 2p ex citation of H by 4-9 keV amu(-1) He2+ ions. The measurements complemen t our previous higher energy measurements and provide a useful assessm ent of a number of greatly different theoretical predictions. In parti cular the measurements confirm a strong undulatory dependence on energ y predicted by recent close coupling calculations.
