Abstract
In this work, a preliminary study of cadmium selenide films grown by t he gradient recrystallization and growth (GREG) method is presented. P hotoluminescence, x ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and microprobe studies were used for their characterization. This prelimi nary study exhibits that, in spite of the deviation from stochiometry, the films grown by GREG technique show properties which are competiti ve to those obtained by other methods.
