Abstract
Eight alkaloids were isolated from the leaves of Alangium bussyanum, s ix of which were known, viz. tubulosine, 9-desmethyltubulosine, deoxyd esmethyltubulosine, O-methyltubulosine, deoxytubulosine and 9- or 10-d esmethylprotoemetinol. The two other alkaloids were new and their stru ctures were established as alangiobussine and alangiobussinine by spec troscopic and chemical methods.
