J. Lutisan et J. Cvengros, EFFECT OF INERT-GAS PRESSURE ON THE MOLECULAR DISTILLATION PROCESS, Separation science and technology, 30(17), 1995, pp. 3375-3389
A one-dimensional model of a short-path (molecular) distillation for t
wo-component systems in the presence of an inert gas was developed bas
ed on the weight-not-time-counter Direct Simulation Monte Carlo method
. The effect of the composition of the test liquid, the evaporating te
mperature, the condensing temperature, the distance between evaporator
and condenser, the arrangement of distillation space, and the inert g
as pressure on mass transfer and separation efficiency is discussed.
