Abstract
Reaction of 2-alkylamino-1-azaazulenes with DPP gave 1,2-diphenyl-3H-9 -azacyclopent[a]azulen-3-one and -N-(1-azaazulen-2-yl)-2,3-diphenyl-2- propenamides. Reaction of 2-dialkylamino-1-azaazulenes with DPP gave i no-4,5-diphenyl-7H-1-azacyclopent[e]azulen-7-ones lamino-3,4-diphenyl- 5H-1-azabenz[cd]azulen-5-ones. Some structures of the products were de termined by single-crystal X-ray structure analyses.
