Na. Erina et al., THE EFFECT OF BLENDING CONDITIONS ON THE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF POLYPROPYLENE-HDPE BLENDS, Vysokomolekularnye soedinenia. Seria A, 37(8), 1995, pp. 1398-1402
The structure of intercrystallite domains in PP-HDPE blends of various
composition was studied as dependent on the conditions of mixing. The
elastic-strain mixing was found to lead to a more compact packing of
the amorphous domains, as compared to the mixing iii melt. This result
s in higher elastic modulus and ultimate strength, the effect being mo
st pronounced in the blends with excess PP.
