Abstract
This article describes the ASSIST (Almighty Suitable design Support To ol) system that was put into operation in September 1994 to support th e activities involved in proposing and designing private networks (PNW s)1 for corporate customers. The development of this system to suppor t these activities, which used to be done manually, has substantially reduced the time and manpower involved.
