Abstract
Molybdenite powder was injected into magnetically rotated plasma to in vestigate its decomposition. The effect of different parameters such a s gas composition, gas flow rate and power input to the plasma on the decomposition of the molybdenite was investigated. A model was develop ed to predict particle trajectories in a magnetically rotated plasma, from which the different components of velocity profile of particles c an be obtained. The effects due to the size of the particles, their te mperatures and their percentage conversion as they move through the pl asma can be studied also.
