Gc. Jagetia et Sk. Adiga, INFLUENCE OF VARIOUS CONCENTRATIONS OF TAXOL ON CELL-SURVIVAL, MICRONUCLEI INDUCTION, AND LDH ACTIVITY IN CULTURED V79 CELLS, Cancer letters, 96(2), 1995, pp. 195-200
The clastogenic effect of various concentrations of taxol, namely 0, 1
0, 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 nM was evaluated in V79 cells grown in vit
ro. Treatment of V79 cells with different concentrations of taxol redu
ced the survival in a concentration dependent manner. However, the fre
quency of micronuclei increased in a concentration dependent manner an
d the dose response was linear quadratic. Similarly, lactate dehydroge
nase also increased with the increase in taxol concentration. The micr
onuclei and lactate dehydrogenase showed an inverse relationship with
the cell survival.
