Abstract
A two-stage observer-based controller design of discrete two-time-scal e (DTTS) systems is presented in this paper. The necessary and suffici ent conditions for this kind of controlled system are all addressed. T he robust slow-observer-based (SOB) controller is investigated in deta il. For a fast sampling rate model, prediction type observer-based con troller and SOB controller are proposed. Both prediction type and curr ent estimation type observer-based controller and SOB controllers are developed for a slow rate model of DTTS systems. A twin-engine aviatio n aircraft is utilized to illustrate the derived schemes.
