Abstract
The relative SERS enhancement factors for pyridine adsorbed on a silve r electrode were determined as a function of the laser wavelength and applied potential. The charge-transfer (CT) contribution to the SERS i ntensity (I), G(CT), was estimated from the excitation profiles (I vs. kv) and compared with the G(CT) values previously obtained from the I vs. electrode potential curves. A critical discussion of the determin ation of G(CT) with the aid of both methods is given.
