Abstract
Tumors may arise from incompletely excised ovarian tissue in dogs. Dog s with estradiol or progesterone-secreting tumors may have clinical si gns of persistent estrus or proestrus. Hyperestrogenism can cause derm atologic changes and suppression of the hematopoietic system. Treatmen t for dogs with a granulosa cell tumor involves removal of the estroge n source and blood product and antibiotic administration, as needed.
