Abstract
A new enantioselective synthesis of cyclopentyl-L-aspartic acid [(S)al pha-amino-1-(carboxy)cyclopentaneacetic acid] (1) and its N-Boc deriva tive 2 has been developed. This synthesis is amenable to kilogram scal e preparation and avoids low temperature reactions and column chromato graphy.
