Abstract
The paper is concerned with some properties of Romanowski distribution s. The family R which includes the Romanowski distributions, the norma l distribution and the mixture of normal distributions is considered. It is shown in the paper that the Romanowski distributions can be appr oximated by the mixture of normal distributions.
