Abstract
(NH4)(3)YI6 decomposes directly into YI3,5 NH3,g and HIg. In connectio n with the thermal decomposition of NH4I the decomposition-pressure-fu nction is given and the enthalpy of formation and the standard entropy of the phases are derived.
