Abstract
Two-photon excitation of C-60 single crystal at 4 K shows a sharp band at 1.846 eV which is assigned to the lowest forbidden Frenkel singlet exciton of T-1g symmetry. This assignment is supported by the analysi s of Herzberg-Teller induced photoluminescence.
