Gg. Ivanov et al., ATRIAL LATE POTENTIALS AND SPECTRAL TEMPO RAL MAPPING OF P-WAVE IN PATIENTS WITH PAROXYSMAL ATRIAL-FIBRILLATION, Kardiologia, 36(11), 1996, pp. 43-48
In order to investigate changes of parameters of temporal analysis and
of spectral temporal mapping of P-wave in paroxysmal atrial fibrillat
ion 110 patients with different variants of ischemic heart disease (20
patients with angina pectoris, 60 - with attacks of atrial fibrillati
on and 30 - with acute myocardial infarction) were studied. Standard t
echniques of detection and analysis of late atrial and ventricular pot
entials were used. In addition we employed spectral temporal mapping w
ith construction of two - and three-dimensional maps, automatic detect
ion of local maxims of amplitudes of frequencies in analysed ranges, a
nd graphical reconstruction of distribution of detected peaks of ampli
tudes by frequency and time, Two variants of changes of amplitudal val
ues to total spectral density of filtered P-wave and its last 20 ms we
re distinguished in patients with paroxysm al atrial fibrillation. Som
e special features of temporal distribution of detected peaks of frequ
encies were found on averaged spectral temporal maps: in control group
predominant region in which extremums were found was located in the t
emporal range between 40 and 50 ms while patients with paroxysmal atri
al fibrillation were characterised by fragmentation and prevalence of
extremums in high frequency band.
