Over the past 15 years, endoscopic variceal sclerotherapy (EVS) has be
come the main therapy for patients with bleeding esophageal varices. E
VS has the advantage of a low associated mortality and morbidity, but
may lead to serious complications. We report a case of esophagotrachea
l fistula complicating sclerotherapy that resolved with nonsurgical ma
nagement.
