Abstract
A complete description of two families of two-wavelength bright spatia l solitons in Kerr media is presented. We calculate field profiles and power dispersion properties, and show that a simple variational appro ximation can be used to describe the fundamental soliton with great ac curacy. Only the family of fundamental solitons is found to be stable on propagation.
