C. Danzin et al., SILICON-MEDIATED INACTIVATION OF SEMICARBAZIDE-SENSITIVE AMINE OXIDASE, Bioorganic & medicinal chemistry letters, 5(20), 1995, pp. 2363-2366
Several organosilicon amines were synthesized as potential mechanism-b
ased inhibitors of semi-carbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (SSAO) prepa
red from rat aorta. 2-[Dimethyl(2-phenylethyl)silyl]-methanamine, hydr
ochloride produced potent time-dependent inhibition of SSAO. A potenti
al mechanism is proposed to explain SSAO inactivation by organosilicon
amines.
