Chromosomal studies were carried on three species of dragonflies viz;, Tramea virginia, Trithemis aurora aurora (family : Lebillulidae) and Aeshna mixta (family : Aeschnidae). The male diploid complement of the three species studied was characterized by 25 chromosomes (n=13) incl uding a pair of m- chromosomes. XO type of male sex-system is recorded . The chromosomes were holokinetic in nature.
