Tv. Denisevitch et al., THE INFLUENCE OF SYNTHETIC AMINOGLYCOCONJUGATES ON THE AGGREGATION ABILITY AND METASTATIC POTENTIAL OF TUMOR-CELLS, Eksperimental'naa onkologia, 17(2), 1995, pp. 111-117
The modifying effect of synthetic amino acid-carbohydrate conjugates o
n the homotypical aggregation of rhabdomyosarcoma and melanoma B16 cel
ls in vitro and their metastatic ability in vivo have been investigate
d. We have shown that Amadori compounds had significant suppressive ef
fect on both aggregation properties of tumor cells and their metastati
c potential. The nature of the influence established depends apparentl
y on the peculiarities of the expression of cell surface lectin-like s
tructures which take part in aggregation processes. The stated biologi
cal activities of Amadori compounds are of great interest for further
research aimed at the creation of the substances with antimetastatic p
roperties.
