Abstract
The influence of antiestrogen preparation tamoxifen on the growth of D MBA-induced mammary tumors in Sprague-Dawly rats and on the level of e stradiol and progesterone receptors in tumors was studied. Tamoxifen w as found to lead to a delay in tumor growth that is resumed after a ce rtain time. Continuous administration of tamoxifen reduces considerabl y the level of hormone receptors in DMBA-induced rat mammary tumors.
