Abstract
An algebraic relationship is derived which enables the generalized amp litude dependent describing function to be expressed in terms of the p arameters of a general nonlinear integro-differential equation. The al gorithm is not restricted to a specific input, but treats the whole cl ass of harmonically related, phase independent, sinusoidal inputs, and is illustrated by a number of examples.
