Abstract
A new pollen diagram for the swamp of Colfiorito is presented. It cove rs the Lateglacial to Holocene period. Four C-14 datings have been obt ained. The presence of a hiatus between the Lateglacial and the Holoce ne prevents us from showing the early stages of the forest dynamics. A s for the Holocene, characterized by the dominance of deciduous oaks, regional and local vegetation variations, due to climatic changes and human influence, are shown.
