Abstract
Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy single crystals are prepared by a self-flux method using the crucible with a cap. From the results, it is found that the optim um cooling rate and the optimum temperature ending the growth are 1 K/ h and 830 degrees C, respectively. A plate-like Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy single c rystal with the size of 6 x 2 mm(2) is obtained which is 80 K single-p hase.
