A. Lopezbeltran et al., INFLAMMATORY PSEUDOTUMOR OF THE URINARY-BLADDER - A CLINICOPATHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF 2 CASES, Urologia internationalis, 55(3), 1995, pp. 173-176
We report 2 cases of inflammatory pseudotumor (IFS) of the urinary bla
dder observed in a man and a woman aged 63 and 66, respectively. Gross
hematuria was the chief complaint. Immunohistochemical profile of IFS
suggested a myofibroblastic proliferation. The DNA diploid pattern of
IFS further supported the benign nature of the process. Immunohistoch
emistry seems to be the method of election in differentiating IFS from
other spindle cell proliferations of the bladder.
