T. Warashina et T. Noro, STEROIDAL GLYCOSIDES FROM ROOTS OF CYNANCHUM-CAUDATUM M .2., Chemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 43(10), 1995, pp. 1734-1737
The roots of Cynanchum caudatum M. (Asclepiadaceae) afforded eleven ne
w pregnane glycosides which had cynanchogenin, caudatin, 12-O-henzoyll
ineolon and 12-O-benzoyldeacylmetaplexigenin as the aglycone moiety an
d 2,6-dideoxy-3-O-methylhexopyranoses as component sugars. The structu
res of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and fr
om chemical evidence.
