Abstract
Using miniaturized ionic and electronic probes we measured the electro chemical potential profiles of cations (Ag+) and electrons (e') in alp ha-Ag2S under the Soret stationary state conditions. From the measured potential profiles of those charge carriers the transported entropies of cations and electrons and the reduced heat of transport of the neu tral Ag, Q(Ag), could be obtained as functions of temperature (220-24 0 degrees C) and nonstoichiometry, delta (0.8 X 10(-3)-1.7 X 10(-3)). The heat of transport, Q(Ag), increases as temperature increases and decreases slightly as the nonstoichiometry, delta, increases.
