For the first time, with the help of radiotelemetric equipment, the au
thors traced the migration of populations of Siberian roe deer (Capreo
lus pygargus Pallas), clarified the times, routes, and rate of the ani
mals' movement, and studied the sex and age structure and other aspect
s of ecology, which are necessary for developing theoretical principle
s of controlling migrating populations and are of general biological i
nterest.
