The density-dependent relativistic mean-field theory with sigma, omega
, and rho mesons, as a parameter-free calculation, has been used to st
udy the ground-state properties of Be-12,Be-14, Ne-30,Ne-32, Ca-60,Ca-
62, and Zr-122,Zr-124. A special emphasis is placed on the influence o
f the rho tenser coupling on the neutron halo and on the spin-orbit sp
litting. It is shown for the first time that the inclusion of the rho
tenser coupling will lead to the isospin-dependent spin-orbit splittin
g although the binding energy and the radius of these nuclei are insen
sitive to it.
