Abstract
Dehydrobromination of yl-2,3-dibromo-1-(4-nitro-2-thienyl)-propan-1-on es (2) give aryl-2-bromo-1-(4-nitro-2-thienyl)-2-propen-1-ones (3). Co ndensation of 3 with 3-substituted-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles (4) using sodium acetate as catalyst yield -thienyl)-1,2,4-triazolo[3, 4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazines (5). The structures of thiadiazines 5 have bee n established on the basis of analytical and spectral data. Thiadiazin es 5 are also synthesized by alternative chemical route.
