Rs. Mishra et al., AN EVALUATION OF STEADY-STATE CREEP MECHANISM IN AN AL-MG 26 AL2O3F COMPOSITE/, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 201(1-2), 1995, pp. 205-210
An analysis of the steady state creep data of Al-5Mg/Al2O3f composite
shows the substructure invariant creep mechanism to be operative. This
is consistent with the dislocation creep mechanism map and a previous
evaluation of steady state creep mechanism in 6061 Al/SiC composites.
A temperature dependent threshold stress exists for the steady state
creep mechanism.
