C. Hosokawa et al., EFFICIENT ELECTROLUMINESCENCE OF DISTYRYLARYLENE WITH HOLE TRANSPORTING ABILITY, Journal of applied physics, 78(9), 1995, pp. 5831-5833
We report that organic electroluminescence devices with a hole transpo
rting emitting layer composed of distyrylarylene derivatives realized
highly efficient and bright emission in the blue-green region. Luminou
s efficiency was obtained to be 2.1 lm/W in the low-luminance region (
135 cd/m(2)) using an indium tin oxide/emitting layer/electron transpo
rting layer/Mg:Ag structure. The external quantum efficiency was estim
ated to be about 1.5%. The highest luminance was obtained to be 4000 c
d/m(2) for the device. (C) 1995 American Institute of Physics.
