Abstract
We outline results from a model that incorporates the universal featur es of systems that display on-off intermittency, and present numerical experiments realizing these results. The particular results investiga ted are the scaling of the power spectral density and for the box coun ting dimension for the set of time intervals when the process takes on values above a given threshold. We also report the effect of additive noise on these results.
