Abstract
Acetonitrile is a crucial solvent for a simple and efficient resolutio n of 1,1'-bi-2-naphthol using N-benzylcinchonidium chloride. Both enan tiomers can be easily obtained with greater than or equal to 95% yield and greater than or equal to 99% ee.
