Abstract
As a part of a recent modernization, Celgar Pulp has purchased a new 3 5-t/d SVP-LITE chlorine dioxide generator. The generator was equipped with a sophisticated control and emergency shutdown system which would stop the generator should an unsafe condition arise. Over a period of several months, additional process interlocks were added to further r efine this shutdown system. By giving advance notice of potentially da ngerous process conditions, the reliability and operation of the gener ator was improved.
