Observations from the southern hemisphere have been used to determine
the periods of 30 variable stars in the globular cluster NGC 6362. Al
are of the RR Lyrae type. Fourteen are type RRc, fifteen are type RRab
and the classification of one (V1) is still uncertain. Fifteen of the
stars had previously published periods and four of these periods were
found to be in error. As a result of this new investigation, the mean
period of the RRc stars has been revised from 0(d).345 to 0(d).296 an
d the mean period of the RRab stars has been revised from 0(d).535 to
0(d).556. (C) 1995 American Astronomical Society.
