Kalanchoe marmorata Bak. (Sect. Eukalanchoe) with 8-12 cm long white f
lowers seems to be a long-short-day-plant, since flowering did not occ
ur under continuous long-day or under continuous short-day conditions.
After a change from long-day to short-day and after treatment with gi
bberellic acid (GA(3)) under continuous short-day conditions, however,
flowering occured to a certain extent. Problems of juvenility were di
scussed. Axillary shoot growth of the usual unbranched growing plant c
ould be induced by treatment with benzylamino-purine (100 ppm spray or
ointment - Lanette mollis -).
