We performed a direct search for the anomalous ZZ gamma and Z gamma ga
mma couplings by studying p (p) over bar --> ll gamma + X (l = e, mu)
events at root s = 1.8 TeV with the DO detector at the Fermilab Tevatr
on Collider. A fit to the transverse energy spectrum of the photon in
the signal events, based on the data set corresponding to an integrate
d luminosity of 14.3 pb(-1) (13.7 pb(-1)) for the electron (muon) chan
nel, yields the following 95% confidence level limits on the anomalous
CP-conserving ZZ gamma couplings: \h(30)(Z)\ < 1.8 (h(40)(Z) = 0) and
\h(40)(Z)\ < 0.5 (h(30)(Z) = 0), for a form-factor scale Lambda = 500
GeV. Limits for the Z gamma gamma couplings and CP-violating coupling
s are also discussed.
