Abstract
Addition of 6.6 mi /liter of cygon (dimethoate, commercial) to acidifi ed malt extract agar (Difco YM medium) suppressed mite activity comple tely and did not appear to affect the number or species of yeasts isol ated. Rose Bengal suppressed filamentous fungi to some extent.
