Abstract
This article proposes parallels between gay, lesbian, and bisexual ide ntity development and the professional development of gay/lesbian/bise xual-affirmative, heterosexual career counselors. This perspective giv es a development framework for understanding the changing feelings, th oughts, behaviors, and actions that accompany the professional, person al, and political growth of heterosexual career counselors who are see king to become affirmative to career and life planning issues associat ed with sexual orientation.
